The principle and purpose of high-pressure test pump:

The function of a high-pressure test pump is to convert the mechanical energy of power engines (such as electric motors and diesel engines) into the pressure energy of liquids.
Working principle: When the electric motor drives the connecting rod crankshaft to move and the connecting rod crankshaft pushes the plunger to move from left to right, negative pressure is formed in the pump cylinder. The liquid in the inlet pipeline enters the pump cylinder through the suction valve. When the piston moves from right to left, the liquid in the cylinder is compressed, the pressure increases, and it is discharged through the discharge valve. The piston moves back and forth once, each sucking and discharging liquid once, which is called a working cycle. The plunger keeps reciprocating, and the pressure test pump keeps sucking and draining fluid. To achieve the purpose of injecting pressure into various pressure vessels and equipment.

High pressure test pump is a hydraulic testing and laboratory testing equipment used for various pressure vessels and equipment (such as chemical containers, pump bodies, valves, pipelines, steel cylinders, fire-fighting equipment, etc.) to obtain high-pressure liquid during pressure testing.

Therefore, the biggest feature of high-pressure test pumps is that the discharge pressure is relatively high. Generally, high-pressure test pumps can reach several hundred atmospheres, and ultra-high pressure test pumps can reach tens of thousands of atmospheres. However, the flow rate is generally small, mostly at l-5m3/h. However, a small output flow rate does not increase the time required for pressure testing, as container pressure testing is not completed by filling the container with a pressure testing pump. The usual pressure testing process requires filling the container with liquid first, and then leaving a joint to connect to the outlet of the pressure testing pump. By utilizing the principle that liquids have equivalent transmission forces, when the outlet of the high-pressure test pump reaches a certain pressure value, the container is also subjected to this pressure accordingly, thus achieving the purpose of test pressure. The working fluid of a pressure test pump is usually water, but it can also be pure mineral oil.

Structure of high-pressure test pump: It consists of a power end, a hydraulic end, and a transmission part (gearbox and pulley transmission). The high-pressure test pump body adopts a symmetrical design, with inlet and outlet devices at both ends of the pump head for easy installation and placement. The motor is placed on the pump body as a whole and can be divided into two types: fixed and mobile. It has a reasonable structure, low noise, small vibration, high efficiency, beautiful appearance, easy operation and maintenance, and stable and reliable pressure. Each pump is equipped with a safety pressure regulating valve, and the pressure of the pump can be adjusted freely. It is also equipped with protection such as lubricating oil temperature and pump inlet and outlet pressure alarms, making it the most ideal equipment for pressure testing of various products and a good helper for pressure testing.

Precautions for using high-pressure test pump:

1. Before using the high-pressure test pump, the inlet water tank or pipeline should be filled with the working medium. It is strictly prohibited to use unfiltered media containing sediment, dirt, and other unclean media.
2. Check whether there is any leakage at the connection of various components of the high-pressure test pump, and whether the medium discharge is smooth and unobstructed.
3. Close the pressure relief valve and conduct a pressure test. The test pressure should not exceed the rated pressure of the pressure test pump.
4. When used in winter, it is strictly prohibited to freeze the high-pressure test pump. If possible, an appropriate amount of antifreeze can be added.
5. If the high-pressure test pump is not used for a long time, maintenance should be carried out, the appearance should be wiped clean, the accumulated water in the test pump should be drained, a small amount of engine oil should be added to the water tank, and the test pump should be allowed to self suction once to prevent rust and corrosion before storage.
